Text Box: Extraordinary Eucharistic Ministers
Text Box: These Eucharistic ministers help in the distribution of Holy Communion, either at Mass, or at another time when the Eucharist is carried to the homebound or those in the hospital. Extraordinary Ministers work in a team environment and serve 1-2 times a month. A sense of liturgy and a sense of the Sacred Presence are required for all Extraordinary Ministers. Attendance at one annual meeting is required.
Text Box: Lectors
Text Box: Lectors proclaim the Word of God at parish liturgies and at gatherings where the Word is read. The ability to read aloud well and in public, to be heard and understood is a requirement for all lectors. The parish provides a resource entitled “Lector’s Workbook” to help lectors familiarize themselves with the Scriptures used at Sunday Mass. Lectors are scheduled in a 3-month cycle. Attendance at one annual meeting is required.
Text Box: Altar Servers
Text Box: These volunteers serve at the altar and assist the priest during Mass and at other liturgical occasions. A schedule is provided for all altar servers in a 3-month cycle. Altar servers are expected to arrive approximately 15 minutes before Mass to help with preparation and remain after Mass until everything is put away. Dependability and a willingness to serve God, the priest and the parish is a necessary requirement for all servers. Servers usually begin in the third grade or above, and must have received their First Communion. Adult servers are needed and appreciated as well as youth servers.

Text Box: Ushers
Text Box: Ushers assist at the weekend Masses, welcome and seat people, take up the offering, invite members of the assembly to take part in the Presentation of the Gifts, guide parishioners to Communion, hand out the bulletin after Mass and ready the church for the next Mass.  Scheduling is on a 1 month basis.
Text Box: Greeters
Text Box: A greeter is a person with a gift for hospitality who welcomes parishioners and guests with hand shakes and conversation and makes an effort to introduce new people to others.  Scheduling is on a 3-month cycle.
Text Box: Gift Bearers
Text Box: Gift bearers represent the community when they bring the gifts of bread and wine to the altar. This is an opportunity for anyone to participate in the liturgy.  No training is required.
Text Box: Wedding Coordinator
Text Box: The Wedding Coordinator conducts the wedding rehearsal and is also at the wedding to ensure that everything goes smoothly.  The coordinator sets up the environment for the wedding including candelabras, flowers, the unity candle, etc. The wedding coordinator also provides the duties of a sacristan (when the Eucharist is celebrated); preparing the altar and gifts as needed.  Training is provided, and couples or single people are welcome to be part of this ministry.
Text Box: Funeral Mass Servers
Text Box: Adults who are available and willing to act as an altar server for a funeral mass are invited to consider joining this ministry.

Text Box: Sacristan
Text Box: The ministry of the Sacristan is responsible for setting up materials needed for each Mass—counting pieces of bread and pouring the wine, preparing the chalices, the purificators and bowls for communion, preparing all the liturgical materials—(lectionary, sacramentary, Book of Gospels), and so forth. Anyone who can carry glassware comfortably can handle this job; it's a wonderful opportunity for younger parishioners and families to get involved in the preparation for the celebration of the sacrament of the Eucharist. Training for this ministry is offered.
