Text Box: Handbell Ringers
Text Box: The Handbell Choir provides music at approximately one Mass per month, September through May. Rehearsals are Monday evenings from 6:05 to 7:10 p.m. Members need not have experience playing bells but should be able to follow the tempo beats and read a line of notes.
Text Box: Cantor/Song Leader
Text Box: The Song Leader is responsible for greeting the assembly as Mass is ready to begin, sharing community announcements and providing musical leadership that fosters the "full, conscious and active participation" of the assembly.  This ministry requires an audition.
Text Box: St. Mary’s Choir
Text Box: The Choir leads the assembly songs and provides music at various Masses throughout the year.  Choir members of all ages are welcome. Rehearsals are on Monday nights from 7:15 to 8:30 p.m. during the months of September to May; and 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. during June, July and August.  The Choir sings at approximately 3 Masses a month.
Text Box: Contemporary Ensemble
Text Box: This group offers an opportunity to experience the joy of participating in the liturgy, while leading the community song in a contemporary style.  All types of instruments are welcome, and all ages are invited to try it out.  Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings at 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. year long. Instrumentalists are especially needed for this group.
Text Box: Resurrection Schola
Text Box: The Resurrection Schola is a choir that sings for funeral liturgies. This ministry offers musical and liturgical hospitality to those grieving the loss of a loved one.  Members are called as funerals occur and meet one half-hour prior to the funeral. Members are not expected to sing for every funeral due to their unexpected nature.
Text Box: Pastoral Council
Text Box: The parish pastoral council is the preeminent advisory body in the parish. All other councils, boards, and commissions report and are held accountable to this council. This council is the principal instrument through which the laity of the parish participates in the decision-making processes of the parish. Any person who has been confirmed and is a member of St. Mary’s parish may be elected to the council.
Text Box: Evangelization Committee
Text Box: This ministry welcomes all people, striving to make them feel “at home” in our parish. Their spirit helps develop an open atmosphere of a parish without borders. This committee helps new members experience the joy of belonging as they join our parish. They provide opportunities to develop community as a parish. You can serve by helping with the quarterly Welcoming Sunday, New Parishioners Orientation as needed, and the annual Baptism Celebration. There is also an on-going need to assist with the serving of coffee and rolls after masses. Specifically for the Baptism Celebration, there is a need for greeters, persons to make phone calls, and help make gift bags. Another way to serve is by helping expand the Neighborhood Church. You could provide opportunities to bring parishioners together by organizing neighborhood events or faith formations.
Text Box: Finance Committee
Text Box: The Parish Finance Committee is an advisory committee for the parish. It meets monthly to assist the pastor and the parish administrator with the decisions that affect the financial stability of the parish. The committee is composed of the pastor, the parish administrator, two trustees, one liaison person from the Pastoral Council and six members who are appointed.
