Sacraments
Baptism
Parents are required to participate in a brief class before their child’s baptism. Courses are offered six times a year. Dates and times are published in the bulletin and on this web page, or call the parish office for more information.
First Penance/First Communion
Parents are the primary educators of their children, so they are actively involved in preparing their children for First Penance and First Communion. The Religious Education Office offers parent sessions before first Penance and first Communion as well as parent/child learning centers. Students involved in this program typically are in second grade. Call the Religious Ed Office for details. (763-9202)
Confirmation
Students in 11th grade attend a variety of small group classes and retreats in preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation. They are confirmed by the Bishop or his representative. Volunteers are needed to help with this program; call the Religious Ed office. (763-9202)
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adult (RCIA)
Adults who desire to become full members of the Catholic Church may participate in this process of preparing for Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. The process usually begins mid-September. Call Fr. Steve Binsfeld for more information at 763-5781.
Marriage
Arrangements to celebrate the Sacrament of Marriage are to be made with Fr. Steve and the Parish Office (763-5781) at least one year prior to the expected date.
Anointing of the Sick
Anointing of the Sick may be arranged by contacting the Pastor. Communal Anointing of the Sick is offered on the first Sunday of the month, immediately following the 8 AM Mass.
