The tradition of carol services is widely observed throughout the world. The first service of this kind was sung in Truro, England in 1880. The first Bishop of Truro, Edward White Benson, became Archbishop of Canterbury in 1883 and was responsible for introducing it into parish churches throughout England. In this special service, a reader will lead us through the moving sequence of lessons recounting the birth of Jesus. Thank you for joining us as we hear and sing about the loving purpose of God, from Creation to Incarnation.
