Elementary Program

Open to Grades 1 - 6

The Elementary Faith Formation Program at St. Mary’s takes place on Wednesday afternoons from 5:15 to 6:00 PM and runs from mid-September to early May. Licensed teachers are hired to teach the students. The core curriculum is Pflaum Gospel Weeklies. Lessons prepare children to hear the gospel for the weekend Mass. This publisher also has online support at where students can access additional activities, as well as a monthly newsletter for parents to help you reinforce their lessons at home. Each grade level will also have a set of prayers that they will master by the end of the year. These prayer expectations are set forth by the Diocese of St. Cloud and are consistent with what is expected of the St. Mary’s Elementary School children.

With the help of Father Steve, the teaching staff is committed to offering educational and spiritual experiences outside the classroom as well. These activities may include learning sessions in the church, Stations of the Cross, service projects, seasonal prayer services, a teaching mass, and reconciliation.
