Market & Bake Sale, April 11-12

Before and After all Masses on April 11 and 12 at The Church of St. Mary

Support summer programs for Youth Ministry students in grades 6-12 from the Come to the Water ACC and get something in return.

The Market and Bake Sale will take place in the Common Area of The Church of St. Mary before and after the 5 pm, 8 am, and 10 am Masses this weekend.

  • Youth from the whole ACC in grades 6-12 welcome
  • It is a free, catered breakfast from the Travelers Inn
  • Bring a friend, it's a lot of fun, and great rolls to boot!

MOVIE NIGHT: "All or Nothing: Sr. Clare Crockett"

The compelling story of the vivacious, fun-loving, Hollywood-bound Irish girl who gave it all for Jesus.  See how she eventually said no to all the things that she had dreamed of as a child and found an even better life at the foot of the cross.

"All or Nothing: Sr. Clare Crockett" will be played Saturday, April 18, starting at 6:30 pm in the St. Mary's Lighthouse.

Pizza and snacks provided.

Overcome challenges young women face.

  • Girls in grades 8-12 are invited to participate in a book club. We will be reading Sincerely Stone Heart by Emily Wilson.

  • Meeting dates Run from April 9 - July 30 from 6:30-8:00pm in the Lighthouse.

  • Books will be provided. $5 donation is asked to cover the cost of the book. Pay at first book club or in Faith formation office.

  • Register to be a part of the book club.

Young Life of Alexandria meets for club a couple of times each month; usually at 7:37 pm at the Alexandria Area YMCA.

Young Life's mission is to "Introduce adolescents to Jesus Christ and helping them grow in their faith."

At each Steubenville Youth Conference, teens experience a life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ that ignites their faith, strengthens their prayer life, and empowers them to live on mission long after the conference ends.

Current Grades 8-12
Total cost: $500
Includes: Ticket, meals, hotel, transportation, and T-shirt.
When registering, a shirt size is needed for each student signing up.
A $150 down payment is required. Adults can sign up to chaperone.

Join Fr. Doug and seminarians for three days on a private residence on Lake Osakis packed with fishing, swimming, frisbee, kickball, confession, Mass, Adoration, lots of bacon and more. Draw closer to Jesus and learn to live a new life, saying with St. Paul, “It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.”
Check-in: 9:00-9:30 a.m.
NOTE: Camp families are welcome to join for Mass on August 5 at 11 a.m.. with a potluck lunch to follow.
COST: $50 – Scholarship available

What to bring to camp:
Tent, sleeping bag, camp clothes, lawn chair, bug spray, flashlight, swimsuit, towel, shampoo, deodorant, tooth-brush, toothpaste, sunscreen, rosary. (please label items, so owner can be found)
What not to bring:
Cell phones.
(The vocations director and the seminarians helping with the camp will be giving out their cell phone number in case of emergency.)
